Admission Process for B. Tech (Food Technology)
The Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research (MCAER- State Council),
Pune is a statutory body which has been constituted under Section 12 of the Maharashtra
Agricultural Universities (Krishi Vidyapeeths) Act, 1983.
The MCAER, Pune will conduct common admission procedure for the 1) Mahatma Phule
Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri.[MPKV] 2) Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola
[PDKV] 3) Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani [VNMKV] 4) Dr. Balasaheb
Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli [BSKKV] through the Kalp Technologies Pvt.
Ltd. (KTPL), Pune through ‘Online Admission System’.
Admission process for Food Technology is centralized and each applicant is required
to fill in application form ONLINE which is available on the website maha-agriadmission.in.
The details for filling application form are mentioned in the prospectus of MCAER
available on website www.mcaer.org.
The criteria for preparation of merit list is percentage of marks in 12th (Science)
and additional points of other weightage certificates as mentioned in Prospectus
(Like 7/12 Extract, Agriculturist Cert., Sports, NCC etc.)
- XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher
Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with PCM or PCMB and English.
- Those who have not offered Biology shall have to complete deficiency courses as
prescribed by respective University.
